Holiday Gift Wrapping

This Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser is at Independence Mall located at the interior wing closest to the Belk’s Mall entrance.   A nominal fee is charged per package size.  Any gift in need of wrapping is welcome as the item does not need to be purchased at Independence Mall.  
Proceeds from this fundraiser will go back to the community through scholarships at UNCW & CFCC and other charities.

We are very pleased to be able to tell you that the Rummage Sale for August 2022 is on as planned! We will be there from 7am – 1pm, so please come and join us. Measures will be in place to make it as safe as possible for everyone. Items include linens, baby things, home interior, dishes, clothes, jewelry, furniture, yard items, collectibles and lots more at a great price!

NC Sorosis was well represented at the GFWC-NC Summer meeting in Wilmington at Pine Valley Methodist Church on Saturday, July 23rd.

NC Sorosis provided sandwiches and pizzas for the Junior Fire Academy!

Students experienced firsthand what it’s like to be a firefighter through the Junior Fire Academy! The Wilmington Fire Department hosted a Fire Academy this summer for rising 9th through 12th graders. During the camp-like experience, students learned life-saving skills like hands-only CPR, how to use a fire extinguisher, bike and pedestrian safety, and safe cooking behaviors.  NC Sorosis provided sandwiches and pizzas for the Junior Fire Academy.

  • North Carolina Sorosis (NCS) Day members meet for business, program and luncheon at 10:30 am on the third Thursday of each month, with the exception of June, July and August.
  • North Carolina Sorosis (NCS) Night Department meets every third Monday between the months of September and May. The evening agenda begins with a social time at 6:30 pm, followed by a program then the business session at 7:00 pm.
